Flyfishing Winter, of course is a play on words. It can be a winter devoid of fishing for the season, the beautiful autumn days on the stream a faint, past memory, your beloved fly rod and vest confined to a dark closet. You can, however, liberate them and yourself, by getting out and fishing during one of the most beautiful and productive times of the year.
An outdoor enthusiast, Ed loves the challenges of wild places. A fishing guide, backpacker, trail runner, poet, rock climber, and retired Fire Captain, Ed translates the beauty of place into special moments. Reflecting on winter fishing Ed said, “ It is in the wild places, we find ourselves whether exhilarated on a 21,400 foot mountain summit, or standing in the quiet waters of a beautiful spring creek, we can be deeply moved, enlightened even transformed.
